Chinatown’s Delight – Sumptuous Noodle Soup

A trip to Toronto will not be complete until you visit Chinatown. It is considered to be one of the largest Chinatown in the North America.

As you step into the Chinatown keep your camera ready, you will find numerous not-to-miss candid moments. Bbarbecued meat, orange squids and roasted pigs will welcome you. The entire row of restaurant is decorated with them. The food retreat begin from very beginning. Next in the queue are fruit vendors. Though fruity aroma of fresh apples, mangoes, durian etc. is enough to attract the customers, yet vendors shout at the top of their voices. This market recreates the Asian fruit and vegetable market scene in Toronto.

Toronto’s Chinatown is famous for noodle soups. This place offers an entire range of the authentic noodle soups, beginning from old school to Asian nouveau-style. Let's treat ourselves at Spadina Ave. and Dundas St. Chinatown with the sumptuous and the best value for fill & taste - the noodle soups.

Asian Legend at Dundas St W, Toronto is famous for ‘Dan-Dan Spicy Noodles with Peanut Sauce’. This is one of the best nouveau restaurants known for Shanghai, Northern Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine. One can relish authentic traditional and spicy dishes here. Besides Dan-Dan Spicy Noodles with Peanut Sauce, one can savor the flavor of steamed pork dumplings, Sichuan noodle, onion pancakes, rolled beef, and the glutinous rice with meat floss.

Our next hotspot is the Hong Fatt on Dundas St W only. This place serves delicious roasted pork with rice noodles. You get to pamper your tastebuds with original Chinese- recipe of perfectly-barbequed, moist meats. And, just for $5, you can get a platter of rice, rice noodles or egg noodles in soup with toppings of barbecue meat. Another dish that I really relish here is the soya sauce chicken and barbequed pork with rice noodle soup.

Relish satay chicken rice noodle soup at the Xe Lua Restaurant on Spadina Avenue. This food joint is popularly known as Train Pho. Even after being located at the second floor Train Pho enjoys a loyal clientele. Grilled pork with spring roll "bun" bowls, make your own fresh rolls are some of the mouth watering dishes served here. However, spicy satay chicken with rice noodle soup is a hot selling dish.

Now lets move to King's Noodle Restaurant at Spadina Ave to relish Wonton Noodle Soup. It may appear to be a casual Chinese restaurant with roasted pigs and bright-orange squid hung outside but don’t go by it's old decor. Else, you will miss on a yummy Wonton Noodle Soup served with egg noodles.
If you wanna have something from the vegetarian menu, try the vegetable rice roll here. It makes a good lunch and late night snack.
